Editorial Review:
Amazon.com essential video: Before making Batman, director Tim Burton and star Michael Keaton teamed up for this popular black comedy about a young couple (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) whose premature death leads them to a series of wildly bizarre afterlife exploits. As ghosts in their own New England home, they're faced with the challenge of scaring off the pretentious new owners (Catherine O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones), whose daughter (Winona Ryder) has an affinity for all things morbid. Keaton plays the mischievous Beetlejuice, a freelance "bio-exorcist" who's got an evil agenda behind his plot to help the young undead newlyweds. The film is a perfect vehicle for Burton's visual style and twisted imagination, with clever ideas and gags packed into every scene. Beetlejuice is also a showcase for Keaton, who tackles his title role with maniacal relish and a dark edge of menace. --Jeff Shannon

Beetlejuice is One of The Most Origanal and Funniest Movies I've Ever Seen. The Cast (Including Micheal Keaton as Beetlejuice) Were All Very Good at Playing Thier Charecters Very Well. The Spiecal Effects in The Film Were Very Good, Yet Slightly Chessy.
The Special Features (Which Unfortanately There are Very Little of) Include 3 Great Beetlejuice Cartoons, an Excellant Music Only Track So You Can Sit Back and Relax While You lisen To Danny Elfman's Score, and 2 Great Trailers for Beetlejuice ... Read More

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice [Blu-ray] is a timeless classic with Michael Keaton providing an excellent performance. The afterlife concept of the film is excellent as well as entertaining; this film is a must for your video library... It's to be watched over and over again.
The casting for this film is perfect, Michael Keaton is the outrageously funny and whacky witted (Betelguese - the afterlife's leading freelance bio-exorcist) with Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis playing (Adam and Barbara Maitland), ... Read More

I give the blu-ray version of Beetlejuice five stars for the picture and sound quality alone. The improvements compared to the previous DVD release are HUGE. If I had to choose between warner spending money and time on a better transfer or more extra content, I would choose the better transfer. After all, how many times are you going to watch behind the scenes material or a commentary? It's been a decade since this film was released, so it would be difficult for Tim Burton or anyone involved in the film to ... Read More

Come on now. how can you make a 20th anniversary deluxe edition without having the original version. Not to say it is not a great movie but hey there is no need to edit the movie just so you can show it on disney channel. I mean no offense but did the producers of this movie say hey why not edit it like a CD so we can sell it at walmart. Come on where is the love of a good movie.
