The author of this book does an amazing job portraying a real life very believable story about mythical "monsters" By the time I finished just the first book of this saga, I was so entrigued. I think it is meant for young/teenage girl readers, but I am 23 and found it to be one of the most captivating stories I have ever read.

I unlike some of the critics here have read the entire series. The series is excellent.
What bothers me about some of the critics on here is that they seem to forget that this is FICTION! There is a difference between NON FICTION AND FICTION. If you do not understand the difference between the two then you can't really teach YOUR children that the things seen or done in BOOKS, T.V. etc.... are not to be repeated in REAL i.e non-fiction, life.

Since I am writing my own paranormal romance, I read a lot of books in this genre. Aside from the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels, this is the best paranormal romance I've read in...well...forever. It's soooo refreshing to read about the development of the romance rather than the wham-bam (and I think you all know what I mean about the "wham-bam", right?) that a lot of paranormal romances engage in (too early in the plot, I might add).

I finally bought this book because I had to see what all the buzz was about. I am 25 and not usually into teen/tween geared novels. From page one I was sucked into this story about a teenage girl who falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love with a vampire... and a pretty good vampire at that. I think people up to the age of 30 would enjoy this book. As long as you realize it was written for a younger audience, you will not be disapointed.
