I'm not one of those downhill-at-a-45-degree-angle types, but I do have a vintage 1997 GT Aggressor hard-tail mountain bike, bought new back then, and I just can't let go of it. It's light CrMo frame is tough as nails, and the RST front shocks, Shimano Deore V-brakes, Deore rear derailleur, and Deore rapidfire shifters have never been replaced. It's now on its fourth gel seat, third set of pedals and second set of nubby Tioga Psycho tires.

I like this mag for the repair tips and reports on what is coming out. Don't ever trust a review here. You would think they would at least keep the ads and the positive reviews for a product from appearing in the same mag or within one issue...

It took a couple of months to finally get my first mag which i couldn't find anywhere in this town. But it was worth the wait. MBA is a mag you'll literally read cover to cover because even the advertisements are good and some i'll be doing business with soon due to good pricing. I found myself even taking ... Read More

Anyone who likes mountain bike will see this magazine has great reviews and interesting articles, plus tons of advertisement, whether you like them or not.
I have no complaints about the magazine, I knew it before hand, but really, buying it here, to save almost nothing has been deceiving.
I made the purchase on feb 8, and as of mar 28 (today) I haven't received the first issue yet. I called the magazine customer service number, great gal, by the way, and she told me it should ... Read More

I'm not sure why this magazine is so highly rated. Sure it's an O.K. magazine, if you like immersing yourself in hype, marketing-speak and incredibly superficial language. Admittedly the pictures are pretty and as an obsessed mountain biker i can say we like bike porn. I just cannot read any of the articles. Chock full of over-the-top adjectives and 'xtreme' language. I don't trust a magazine that calls every new incremental advancement in biking technology 'revolutionary' or 'amazing' or any number of ... Read More
