I've used a couple of generic wireless cards and found them troublesome, with sporadic difficulty connecting to my wireless hub. This Linksys card has worked perfectly, first time and every time. I recommend it.

Installed in a desktop PC running Ubuntu 8.10 without a problem. Simply installed and turned the power on. Runs at full G link speed with WAP security. This is the way things should work. However, do miss days past when tinkering was required to get things to work.

right out of the box, installed it in my system. I never bothered using the drivers that came along with it and used the one on the website. Works well and have been using for 2 weeks.
