I bought a red one and a blue one after reading the Cook's Illustrated recommendation. Using a metal handle was a bit strange at first after all the years of regular plastic spatulas that are lighter and more flexible. I like the feel and weight of this item, it is dishwasher safe, and I like the different edges on each side. However, I feel it's a tiny bit stiff and makes cleaning the bowl of batter a bit more challenging.

What can one really say about a spatula? It may be a mild commentary on my life (as I get older) that really nice kitchenware excites me enough that I'm willing to spend my time rating it. This is simply a very nice spatula. I bought both the blue and red ones. The metal handle is unique and the rich color differs enough from the standard white plastic spatulas of the 70s and 80s that they look good in my expensive stainless steel kitchen utensil holder.
