I LOVE Wondertime. I'm a charter subscriber.
I get other more "mainstream" parenting magazines, and they are full of nothing but fluff - regurgitations of the same articles I've read a million times already.
Wondertime is fresh and exciting. I'm not surprised to see it getting lower reviews, because it is geared more toward the intelligentsia and upwardly mobile. Perhaps many of the subscribers reviewing here just don't "get it".

I first subscribed to Wondertime after reading two issues cover-to-cover during visits to my pediatrician and obstetrician's offices while pregnant with my second child. The articles are always well researched and well written by authors who are working moms, stay-at-home moms, working dads, and even stay-at-home dads. I find that this diversity of authorship creates a wonderful mix of topics and viewpoints on parenting. And I love that at the end of each article, there's a photograph of the author ... Read More

Great for the price, great articles on the inside dealing with toddler ages through 6yrs old. interesting health facts. A really good magazine for parents interested in their kids.
They focus on varying issues and tell you for example how to prepare your child for school, etc. - very informative. -

This is the only magazine that I read as soon as it comes in the mail, even when I'm shirking my work to do it. It's also the only parenting magazine that makes me laugh out loud and offers ideas for activities that appeal to me, without the excessive cutesy stuff. In fact, I love it so much that I bought four friends gift subscriptions for Mother's Day this year!
I am amazed at all the complaints about advertising. Wondertime doesn't have nearly as much advertising as the other parenting ... Read More
