I have a 15 year old Stanley opener with tiny switches and a 5 year old Genie electronic system and they are both programmed with this opener. A built-in opener sold by the auto dealers can cost over $400. Multiply that by the number of vehicles you put it in and it can get stupid expensive. This was less than $30. I recently purchased a home that did not have a remote for the garage door opener. I took a guess as to which remote I needed, and this remote worked with my Chamberlain Liftmaster 1/3 HP. I actually followed the instructions on the garage door opener, instead of the remote instructions, and was able to program it in under a minute.

Works pretty well on my old (1995) Geni garage door
opener. Doesn't seem to have the range the old one
does, but if I open my side window and click it outside
of the car, then it works. I'm just happy to have one
that works most of the time!

Easy to program; lost the manual, but found a PDF version online. Works great in 2 locations - couldn't be happier.

We bought one of these first to try it out, as we had just bought a house and the owners did not leave us any remotes. It was super easy to program, it came with batteries, and we have no problems with it. We ordered 2 more, one for each vehicle plus one to keep "just in case". I recommend trying these for a cheaper, easy replacement.
